Privacy

Simple by default.

GuruHat believes small software should ask for as little as possible. Each app’s privacy information will live on its own product page as the collection grows.

This website

guruhat.com doesn’t use accounts, advertising, or tracking cookies. When you click a download button, we record which app and platform you chose, the country Cloudflare reports for the request, and the time—so we can count downloads. IP addresses are not stored.

If you sign up to hear about new apps, we store your email address along with the page you signed up on, your country, and the date. We use it only to send a short email when a new GuruHat app ships, never share or sell it, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link that deletes your address.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites.

Some links we share, for example on Reddit, carry a tag such as ?ref=reddit. When you arrive through one, we count the visit with the tag, the page, your country and the time. If you then click a download button on that page, the download is counted with the same tag. No cookies are set and nothing identifies you.

The apps

ClipHat stores your clipboard history in a local database on your device. It has no account, cloud sync, or analytics. PC Mode needs macOS Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions to respond to shortcuts, and works entirely on your Mac. PriorityTab reads your browser history, top sites, and bookmarks to build your new tab page; that data and your settings stay in your browser. AI Meter has its own privacy policy.

Questions

Every GuruHat app is open source, so you can inspect exactly what it does. Questions about a specific app can be raised through its GitHub repository, or email hello@guruhat.com.
